BIO
Alvaro is an award-winning editor and storyteller who believes emotion is the key to any visual piece. Born and raised in Bilbao, Spain, he received degrees in media from the Universidad de Navarra with a master’s in post-production. He has since lived and worked in Madrid, Dubai, and now New York.
Alvaro has made a name for himself as one of the top editors in several international markets throughout his 20-year career, first with Spain’s Prisa Group, followed by Serena Digital in both Madrid and Dubai and then at Uppercut and WAX in New York. He joined Cabin’s New York office in November 2021, working also out of their offices in Los Angeles and London.
His work includes a range of commercials, music videos, and documentary shorts, with brand clients including Nike, Apple, Adidas, Google, Samsung, McDonald's, Coca-Cola, Verizon, Ford, Volvo, American Express, VANS, Mercedes, BMW, Toyota, and others. Last year he worked on his first feature-length documentary about the story of FTX and Sam Bankman-Fried.
Alvaro is known for his ability to tap into emotions and connect viewers to the story in a way that transcends the screen. He has earned multiple awards from the ad industry’s top shows including AICE, AICP, Cannes Lions, D&AD, Clios, and The One Show.
Alvaro is represented commercially by Cabin Edit in the US and Europe.
